Upcoming 2011 Dates to Note:
Fresh From the Hive Honey Harvest Sale on Saturday, November 19, 11am–noon (if it lasts that long): You’ll have the rare opportunity to buy a jar of our Hell's Kitchen Honey, harvested from CCG’s own bee hive. This year we harvested less than a half of the amount of last year's harvest. That makes each drop even more special. A jar (1 lb.) of our honey is still $10. We also have a limited number of smaller jars: half-pound for $6; and sample size (great as a souvenir) for $2.50. Our honey is pure, raw, and unfiltered. Both summer honey and fall honey are available.
Don't miss your opportunity to get a jar of our honey. It's the only day we sell it, and it sells out fast!
Volunteer Saturdays are on these dates:
June 18
July 16
August 20
September 17
October 22, starting at 10 am, is the garden's last volunteer day of the season. Everyone in our community and beyond is welcome to join gardeners in cleaning up the garden and tucking it in for the winter. This is a great time for gardeners and volunteers new and old to get together and enjoy fall weather while it's still gorgeous and get a workout at the same time. What could be better?? Answer: Hardly anything! CCG plotholders who still need to fulfill volunteer requirements can get credit for helping with the cleanup (look for the sign-in sheet). If you're a keyholder interested in getting more involved in the garden, this is a good time to do it. If you're on the wait-list for a plot, starting to help with garden projects now will make a gardener of you while you wait.
